Admissions
Al-Mumin Schools welcomes enquiries from parents who are considering applying for a place for their child. We strongly recommend that prospective families arrange a visit to the school, as this provides an important opportunity to learn more about our values, facilities, and educational approach.
Application forms are available in the Downloads section at the bottom of this page. Alternatively, parents may request an application form by contacting the school office or by emailing the Admissions Team at pri@almumin.bradford.sch.uk for Primary admissions or sec@almumin.bradford.sch.uk for Secondary admissions.
Once a completed application form and the required registration fee have been received, the pupil’s details will be added to the relevant waiting list. Parents will be notified by phone call/email to confirm that the application has been successfully processed.
If a place becomes available, parents will be contacted and the pupil will be invited to attend the school for a trial visit. This visit may include a short assessment, where appropriate. Assessments focus on key areas of learning, including literacy and numeracy, such as reading, comprehension, spelling, and written expression. During the visit, pupils will also have the opportunity to experience daily school life and interact with prospective peers.
Following a successful assessment, a formal offer of a place will be issued by the Senior Leadership Team.
Primary and Secondary Admissions
For both Primary and Secondary applications, parents must provide the pupil’s most recent school report prior to the entrance assessment. Entrance assessments evaluate English, Mathematics, and general ability. Applicants who meet the required standard will be placed on the waiting list.
When a place becomes available, a reference will be requested from the pupil’s current school. This will be followed by an interview with the Headteacher before a final decision is made.
Due to the high demand for places, Al-Mumin Schools operates a waiting list system. Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to siblings of pupils currently attending the school. All applicants seeking entry from Reception year onwards are required to complete a Teacher Assessment before a place can be offered. For further information, parents are advised to consult the school’s full Admissions Policy.
